Motherwell Final countdown

- Derek Wilson

Motherwell players, with the exception of Allan Campbell and Chris Cadden, could enjoy a much-needed weekend off during the latest international break. Now, however, we enter the final sprint towards Hampden with Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday a mere speed-bump in the road. That game should not be underestimated, though, as not only are the points important, we really do not want to be facing Celtic on the back of three consecutive defeats.

Quite how Stephen Robinson works the players this week remains to be seen. It’s hard to see us simply turning up against Aberdeen and winning, given their strength. But, ultimately, if training invested now for Celtic brings home a cup, it is a sacrifice everyone would make.
