Ross County Fringe benefits
The international break opened up an opportunity for Ross County and their rivals Inverness CT to raise funds for charity, with an entertaining friendly having taken place in Dingwall last Wednesday between the sides.
The managers picked fringe selections but there were some lessons to learn from it. County had eight players on show at various points who had come through the youth system and it was encouraging to see them not look out of place and also still within Owen Coyle’s plans. Tony Dingwall has since gone on an “emergency” loan to Elgin in League 2 and there is a chance to get some game time again. County have lots to be positive about when it comes to the young talent they are now able to nurture and develop.
