Snow and 75mph gales predicted

Scotland faces overnight snow f ol l owed by a 75mph s t orm which f orecasters exp ect to strike the UK tomorrow.

The Met Office warned of an i nch of snow on some S cottish hills today and more snow tomorrow night.

But they warned the UK faces Atlantic gales until the end of the week, especially in southern S cotland, if Storm Caroline strikes.

The Weather Channel said: “Gusts could reach 75mph.”

Forecasters have warned of “one of the stormiest parts of the year” ahead.
