Mother accused over baby shake and neglect

A woman has been accused of endangering the life of her baby son by shaking him – and then failing to seek medical help.

She also allegedly lied to 999 operators, paramedics and doctors about how he was injured when the boy, aged just a few months, later received treatment.

The 27- year-old-woman, from Lochee, Dundee, will appear in court on 20 February also accused of failures in the care of her two children. They include leaving knives and medication in their reach and failing to provide food and bedding. She can not be named for legal reasons.
