Schoolboy needs face surgery in Braehead attack

A 12- year-old boy needed surgery for a face injury after being attacked by another youth outside a busy shopping centre.

The youngster had been in a group at the Braehead Shopping Centre in Renfrewshire, but when they left to go to a nearby play park they were chased by a group of teenage boys and attacked near Krispy Kreme. The victim was taken to Paisley’ s Royal Alexand ra Hospital. Police appealed for witnesses.
