Crunch time for PM’S oatcake recipe

Theresa May has given her chocolate oatcake recipe to be included in a primary school’s new cook book.

The Prime Minister had been written to by a nine - year- old pupil of Glen li vet Primary in Mo ray asking if she had anything which could be put in the book.

A week later ,10 D owning Street wrote back with the ingredients and method to make a chocolate oatcake.

Delighted pupil Amber Innes said: “I was excited and amazed when I got a reply.

“We could try out her recipe at school one day.”

She added :” We hope to get some recipes from other famous faces, too.

“We are doing lots of exciting things as well as the recipe book.

“We’ve learned lots of skills including using email, writing letters and making tickets and posters.”

The school, headed by teacher Nancy Fraser, serves the parishes of Glenlivet and Glenrinnes.

Alongside their cookbook, the enterprising students are also prep ping for their Christmas craft fair where table decorations will be offered for sale.
