Old people’s home faulted on care

A care home for elderly people has been ordered by the social care watchdog to make urgent improvements to the services it provides. The Care Inspectorate has served a formal improvement notice on Grandholm Care Home in Aberdeen after an inspection raised “serious concerns”.

The home in Bridge of Don has been told to make immediate improvements to four areas of care, including making sure that residents have the right type and amount of food and drink provided to them.
