Time for change: Church which commemorates St Serf slaying the dragon to get improved clock
Horologist David Weir removes the hands of the clock at St Serf’s church in Dunning, Perthshire, to carry out repairs. The building, parts of which date back to the 13th century, is said to commemorate the spot where St Serf slew a dragon 700 years earlier.
Dating from 1890, the clock requiresregularmaintenance. The hands are to be increased in weight to improve their time-keeping.
