HGV driver admits causing worker’s death
An HGV driver has admitted causing the death of a road worker by reversing over him while delivering 20 tonnes of asphalt to a works site on the M8.
Alexander Johnstone, 52, struck Ryan Mcnally, 33, near Glasgow Airport, on 3 March, 2014.
The details emerged yesterday when Johnstone appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court to admit his guilt over the death of Mr Mcnally, who was from Stirling.
