Waste firm Biffa moves into black

Biffa, the waste management firm, has swung into profit and said it would hit annual targets.

The group reported pre-tax profits of £29.2 million, compared with a £3.6m loss over the period last year. Net revenues climbed 8 per cent to £481.6m thanks to a robust performance from the group’s industrial and commercial division.
