-

A Scottish record label is releasing a new album to raise funds for “broken heart syndrome”.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) sees people suffer physical symptoms similar to a cardiac arrest as a result of emotional trauma. The University of Aberdeen’s record label, Vox Regis, will launch Exiled: Music by Philips and Dering next week to raise funds for research into the condition, known as “broken heart syndrome”. The music is performed by the acclaimed Rose Consort, with the University’s Choir of King’s College joining them.
