Alleged attack victim is named by police

A man who died after an alleged attack outside a pub in North Ayrshire has been named by police.

Henry Lee, 66, from the Saltcoats area, died in hospital on Thursday.

His death came after an incident in the town’s Green Street which took place on Tuesday.

Officers at Police Scotland said that a 16-year-old man was due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged attempted murder.
