Man, 31, charged over betting shop robbery

A man has been charged in connection with a robbery at a betting shop in West Lothian.

The incident happened at Coral Bookmakers on Union Square, West Calder at about 8pm on Thursday.

Officers at Police Scotland said that no-one was hurt. However, they said staff and customers were left shaken.

Police have said a 31-yearold man is expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
