A driver was rushed to hospital after his lorry overturned in the Highlands.

Police said the truck flipped onto its roof on the A86 near Roybridge not long after 9am yesterday.

The driver was cut free from the vehicle by firefighters. He was then taken by helicopter to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

The road was partially closed following the incident, with drivers advised to use alternative routes.

Officers at Police Scotland said that the road was reopened after the crashed truck was recovered at about 3pm.
