In the red: Leonard unveils key policy ideas during meeting with Corbyn in Glasgow
Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard and his UK counterpart Jeremy Corbyn address party activists at Glasgow’s Lighthouse venue.
Mr Leonard yesterday gave his first keynote speech where he promised to “reshape and recharge” the party in Scotland in the same way Mr Corbyn has at Westminster.
He unveiled plans to set up 12 policy reviews and a commission on tax, and during a joint press conference, said he believed the wealthy should pay higher taxes on their land and buildings, with a one-off wealth tax for the richest 1 per cent of people in the country.
