Murder bid inquiry launched after shooting

A driver was shot at during a murder attempt in the Lenzie area of Glasgow.

The incident happened last Thursday.

Police said that around 8:45pm, they received a report that a firearm had been discharged at a car in Langmuirhead Road.

The 33-year-old driver was uninjured and managed to drive off before crashing his car near to the roundabout on Lumloch Road.

The victim then made his way home on foot. The incident is being treated as attempted murder and extensive inquiries are under way.
