New sports hub set to open doors

A major new sports complex in Glasgow is set to open.

Atkins have handed over the sports hub in Bishopbriggs on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council. #

The centre features a fullsize, floodlit football pitch, astroturf and grass pitches alongside an athletics track.

Huntershill Sports Hub is operated by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC Trust) with the aim of boosting sports participation and levels of physical activity. Sandy Marshall, chair of EDLC Trust, described the centre as “a fabulous new facility”.
