Game Digital to offload Multiplay

Retail chain Game Digital has sold its online game server-hosting business, Multiplay Digital, in a deal worth up to £19 million to help fund its growing e-sports division.

Unity Technologies APS has agreed to buy the business. The move comes as Game looks to expand further into e-sports and live gaming to reduce its reliance on volatile console retail sales.
