Heart of Midlothian Improved performance

Even Michael Stewart admitted Hearts played better this week and the product was definitely an improvement. Cole Stockton replaced the unwell Kyle Lafferty and held the ball up better for it being played to feet rather than in the air.

Arnaud Djoum and Jamie Walker looked strong in midfield and, although Harry Cochrane was easily bullied, he linked well on occasions. Stewart was dismissive of Hearts’ 23 shots for mostly being outside the box but the save from Christophe Berra was outstanding and, on another day, the points would have been secured. Isma Goncalves is frustratingly close to what we need from him, but none of the strikers has convinced fully yet and some would like to see youth given a chance.
