Hibernian Protect our players

-

Neil Lennon didn’t hold back in his criticism of the referee or Hamilton’s style of play on Saturday. Lennon enjoys the physical side of football but it seems his patience has finally snapped on this latest of several occasions when he has seen fit to comment on the robust approach taken by the opposition in their efforts to prevent Hibs’ skilful performers (in particular, John Mcginn) from playing in the proper fashion. He is right to do so, as referees have a responsibility to protect entertaining footballers or we risk losing them from the Scottish league.

Perhaps Partick Thistle will be more inclined to engage in a game of football next weekend. Having drawn a match we should have won, Hibs could really do with the three points.
