Ross County Marvellous Mccarey

-

County had the upper hand for the first ten minutes in the 0-0 at Hearts, but they gradually lost control of the match. Jamie Walker was a menace in the first half, drifting into pockets of space in front of the County back four and taking potshots from distance that weren’t far from troubling Aaron Mccarey.

When Mccarey was worked, the goalkeeper was excellent and had two terrific double saves. The first came after spilling a long-distance shot, but his saves were mostly top-drawer and his team-mates have to thank him for keeping them in the match. Owen Coyle needs more pace and power in his side to compete against the better sides in the league. But a clean sheet at Tynecastle? I’ll take that.
