Well that didn’t last long, did it? Two league games into Csaba’s reign and we are held to a draw by the league’s basement club. The profligacy shown in the win over Falkirk continued in the first 45 minutes against Brechin. The difference was that the hosts had the temerity to equalise after half-time and then, to their credit, have a real good go at United.

Teams win titles and trophies by showing the opposition no mercy and taking their chances when presented. United need to start demonstrating this ruthlessness or we will be unable to draw away from our title rivals. December sees us face a testing run of fixtures and a requirement to bring our shooting boots to every game.
