Community run whisky distillery is a world first

A facility dubbed the world’s first communityowned craft whisky distillery has opened in the Highlands.

Glenwyvis Distillery has been built on a hillside near Dingwall following a crowd funding campaign.

The community benefit company set up to raise funds has more than 3,000 members.

The distillery will make the first whisky in the local area for about 90 years and will also produce gin.
