Man attacked by group of youths on city street

A man was seriously assaulted by group of youths while walking with his partner along a street.

Theman,44,waswalking on Kenmore Street in the Shettleston area of Glasgow at 1130pm on Saturday when he was approached from behind by between four and six youths and seriously assaulted.

His attackers are described as being aged between 16 and 18.

The man is being treated for injuries at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Police said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack on an innocent man.”
