Fifty years in the making: Rare bottle of Dalmore whisky set to fetch up to £20k at Bonhams sale

Eraena Valery, of the Bonhams auction house, examines a 50-year-old bottle of Dalmore whisky which has an estimated value of £15,000-£20,000.

The bottle is due to go under the hammer as part of the Bonhams Asian art and whisky sale. The Dalmore Distillery is located in Alness, which is 32 kilometres north of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth and overlooks the Black Isle.
