Finalists for property awards revealed
The first finalists have been announced for this year’s Scottish Property Awards which has received a record number of entries.
Drawing up the shortlist proved to be a challenge for the 19-strong judging panel who assessed more than 100 written submissions.
The fifth annual ceremony includes 18 categories celebrating new commercial and public property in Scotland.
That includes a new award – Hotel, Retail & Leisure Agency Team of the Year.
While deliberating the best buildings, projects and team successes, the judges noted an increase in entries for public property developments.
In the Development of the Year (Public Buildings) category are 15 finalists, all of which are centres for either health or education.
The judging was chaired by Fiona Morton, former managing partner and chairman of real estate agency Ryden, for the third consecutive year.
She said: “It is encouraging to see a substantial increase in the number of companies entering the awards this year.
“We are all looking forward to celebrating the best in Scottish commercial and public property at the awards ceremony in March.”
The definitive award of the night, Property Company of the Year, along with two other top awards, is yet to be decided.
Judging is continuing for the Rising Star of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Deal of the Year Award will be voted for live at the award ceremony. To book a table at the ceremony in Glasgow on 1 March visit www. scottishpropertyawards.co.uk or call 0131 337 6232
