Third man in court over fire-raising

A third man has appeared in court charged with wilful fire-raising following a blaze in which a car and house were destroyed.

The family living in the house in Northfield Park, Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, fled the property to escape the blaze on Monday, 6 November.

Stephen Garrity, 24, was charged with wilful fireraising when he appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court yesterday. He made no plea and was remanded in custody. On Monday, James O’brien, 22, and Christopher Harkins, 33, appeared at the court. All three men are from Dumfries.
