A company that says it is one of the largest independent telecommunications firms in the UK has been named the first re-seller in Scotland for a cloud-based service helping businesses “significantly” improve customer service.

Exchange Communications, based in Kirkintilloch, will deliver the offering from BT Wholesale and Avaya. The Scottish firm, which was set up in 1990 and also has offices in Aberdeen and Oxford, will be responsible for supporting the provision of the new ACS Select product, targeted at mid-market customers.

It also said customers will benefit from an end-to end service with the likes of operational flexibility, customisa- tion, intelligent call recording, flexible connectivity and simple migration to the cloud. MD Tom Sime said ACS Select “is able to support up to 3,000 users in a single location and across 150 networked sites.

“We’re proud to be working with global leaders Avaya and BT Wholesale delivering this innovative cloud-based solution, providing real customer value solutions, which enable businesses to deliver an enhanced customer experience.”

Exchange Communications, which supplies high-end telecoms equipment and services, said earlier this year that it has been awarded the status of “advanced partner” by Vodafone UK.

“It is a game-changer for us,” Sime said at the time. 0 Exchange Communications MD Tom Sime lauds the move
