Woman avoids jail term after biting her ex-lover’s testicle off

- By ANGUS HOWARTH

A woman who ripped out her lover’s testicle with her teeth, leaving the man needing 15 stitches, has avoided jail and been ordered to pay the victim £500.

Nunzia Del Viscio from Craigmillar in Edinburgh was placed on a Restriction of Liberty Order to stay in her home between 10pm and 6am for six months and ordered to pay her victim compensation by Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

At her trial, the 43-year-old claimed she had been acting in self-defence, but was found guilty of assaulting Marcello Palma, 44, at his home in the city’s Lauriston Terrace in May last year. Sentence had been deferred for reports.

Police officers were called to the property by the ambulance service.

They told the police that a male had a testicle ripped off by a female for refusing to have a threesome. Officers found Del Viscio outside the flat with blood on her teeth and face.
