Boardroom boost for education firm

Education publisher Pearson has recruited Snapchat chairman and ex-sony boss Michael Lynton onto its board.

It said Lynton will join as an independent non-executive director from 1 February. He currently holds a non-executive position on the board of asset manager Ares Management.
