Families tell of shock at teenagers’ drug deaths

- By SARAH WARD

The families of two teenagers who died after taking drugs have spoken of their shock and described their drug use as “out of character”.

Aaron Reilly and Joshua Brock, both 19, died in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, Devon, after taking what they thought was MDMA at the city’s Pryzm nightclub. They were found unconscious in the early hours of Saturday.

Both families described the men as enjoying nights out with friends. Joshua’s grieving relatives said it was “totally out of character” for him to take drugs while Aaron’s family said he was “respected as a nondrug user”.

Joshua was in his third year studying for a diploma in aircraft engineering at the Flybe Training Academy in Exeter and Aaron was described as a keen skateboarder.
