Gender stereotyping in UK adverts to be banned next year

-

This whole area seems to be getting out of hand and leaving common sense behind. - Alasdair Gordon But some girls (and boys) WANT to grow up to become ballet dancers. How about they just include the girl engineers in the ad. To become a ballerina takes a life time of intense physical training, denying that is to denigrate their dedication and hard work. - Mandy Mclean How do we know it’s a baby girl? Just because the baby appears to be wearing pink and has pink accessories in the room we automatically assume it’s a girl? Isn’t that stereotyping also? My grandson loved the colour pink when he was little. - Jacqueline Elston How do we know that the baby is a girl .... could be a boy. Therefore this ad is showing diversity! - Christine Mcgougan Haven’t people got something more productive to spend their efforts on.. No wonder Britain lost its empire. - Ian AL Irving Oh for Pete’s sake! - Deborah Rawlings
