Duncan Scott claimed Great Britain’s second medal at the European Short Course Championships in Copenhagen with bronze in the men’s 200m freestyle.

The 20-year-old Scot touched the wall in 1:43.07 behind Lithuania’s Danas Rapsys and Aleksandr Krasnykh of Russia to secure his first major senior individual medal.

Scott won two silver medals at the Rio Olympics as part of the men’s 4x200m freestyle and 4x100m medley relay teams.

Adam Peaty was back in action after his opening day bronze medal as he finished 13th in the heats for the men’s 200m breaststroke.

Peaty updated his personal best to 2:07.34 but still finished behind team-mate Ross Murdoch, who placed ninth.
