Man jailed for six years over dog walker stabbing
A man chased a dog walker through a Perthshire park before stabbing him three times.
George Stewart, 20, yesterday admitted to attempting to murder Robert Preston, 53, in Blairgowrie, north of Perth, on 5 August.
The High Court in Glasgow heard Mr Preston had tried to run away from his bare-chested attacker, who had threatened him. Mr Preston slipped and fell before being stabbed three times.
Lord Summers sentenced Mr Stewart to six years in Polmont Young Offenders Institution.
