Weather warning lifted as freeze comes to an end
A Met Office warning for freezing temperatures and ice across Scotland has been lifted after crashes in Aberdeenshire over the past 48 hours.
Police in the Aberdeen area said adverse weather conditions had caused a series of collisions.
Drivers had been advised to “stay at home” following multiple crashes on Friday and Saturday.
The B976 Crathie to Gairnsheil road had been closed due to drifting snow.
Police in Dumfries and Galloway also said a gritting truck had left the road on the A76 north of Sanquhar.
