Woman attacked in her own home in terrible ‘ordeal’
A woman has been attacked and robbed during a “frightening ordeal” in her own home.
The incident happened about 10pm on Sunday when a man forced his way into the property on Balmoral Road in Dumfries.
He assaulted the 49-yearold and made off with a sum of money.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Detective Sergeant Colin Mckinstry, from Dumfries CID, said: “This was a very frightening ordeal for the woman concerned.”
