Boxing fans get knockout chance to set up business

0 A growing number of people are trying boxing to get fit and relieve the stress of work Boxing fans are being offered the chance to build a business on the back of booming interest being seen in “white collar” bouts where fitness enthusiast­s do battle in the ring.

Specialist events company LBM Boxing is looking for an individual to take on the licence to operate its Zero2hero programme in the Edinburgh area.

Promoters will receive full training and support to organise bouts between fighters with no previous boxing experience.

Anthony Meadowcrof­t of Blacks Business Brokers, said: “White collar boxing has become one of the fastest growing contact sports as profession­als look for new ways to keep fit and relieve workplace stress. This is a great opportunit­y for individual­s with an interest in fitness and events management to become their own boss.”

Under Zero2hero, fighters train for eight weeks before a three-round bout against an opponent of a similar weight and standard.
