Carillion brings in new CEO early

Infrastructure giant Carillion has parachuted its new chief executive into the firm earlier than previously planned.

It said Andrew Davies’ start date will now be 22 January, rather than 2 April. Interim boss Keith Cochrane – the former Weir CEO – will step down from his role soon but remain with the firm in an advisory capacity to ensure an orderly transition.
