Getting it wrong

-

It is no surprise that Nicola Sturgeon is under fire. (“First Minister under attack after teacher recruitment scheme stalls”, 22 December).

The Scottish National Party’s approach to education mirrors their approach to job creation and taxation. They have got it completely wrong. No wonder Ms Sturgeon could not answer Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson’s sharp questions at Holyrood on Thursday. In fact, the SNP are facing a meltdown on most fronts.

Even the slight victory of the combined separatist parties in Catalonia cannot really be used by the SNP as the prounion parties in Scotland also command a majority.

The SNP are rapidly running out of excuses for their failure to govern Scotland. Ms Sturgeon cannot get any serious traction now out of Brexit, Westminster or even Catalonia. It is all down to their poor record in office. Changed days. (DR) GERALD EDWARDS
