#CHRISTMASDAY

While many people had a long lie, ate chocolate for breakfast, opened presents and spent the day with friends and family, for others December 25 was just another Monday at work. @ashleymdugger moaned: “Getting out of bed at 1:30am on Christmas to go to work is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.” @Dpbyers92 shrugged: “Merry Christmas and all that. Today is my 7th Christmas Day in a row that I will be working. Told myself it’d be different this year...” @marcow89 said: “A Massive Merry Christmas greeting to all those working today!! May your food keep warm until you come home” @Catherinekingmp tweeted: “Shout out to all our health care workers and support staff working in our hospitals and health services today. Thank you for caring for our community today and everyday.”

#FESTIVEKINDNESS

Hearts and Hibs opened their doors to 200 people on Christmas Day to provide a Christmas lunch. A generous act which was praised by many. @henrywinter posted: “Merry Christmas to all. Have a brilliant day. And kudos to all those fans from Arsenal to Hibs & Hearts via Tranmere laying on lunch for the lonely & homeless today.” @jamiekborthwick shared: “Merry Christmas everyone. Immensely proud of Edinburgh’s football clubs @ Hibsofficial and @Jamtarts throwing open their doors to the city’s loneliest and vulnerable today. Swells the heart. Love to you all.” @Donaldsonespn said: “To the volunteers at Tynecastle and Easter Road, and to @ bighearts, @Jamtarts and @Hibsofficial, for helping those less fortunate enjoy Christmas Day - thank you.”

#MOUSSADEMBELE

Celtic fans were given a scare on Christmas Day when there were reports linking Moussa Dembele with an £18 million switch to Brighton and Hove Albion. Celtic, however, called the talk ‘nonsense’. @mkerrgbwr asked: “Am I the only Celtic fan that would take 18 million for Dembele in a heartbeat?” @Joemcfc_ shared: “Just got a Moussa Dembele Celtic top for Christmas, absolute fuming!!” @talkingbaws posted: “Celtic fans thinking they could enjoy Christmas until seeing all this Moussa Dembele talk.”
