So exhausting

-

I expect many old pedants must revel in the mastery of our language as portrayed by Alexander Mccall Smith. How many, like me, dived for the dictionary last Friday, while reading the 44 Scotland Street short story, to confirm exactly what “termagant” meant?

So, why is it that so many of the youth of today are so terrified of the language that they have to begin every sentence with “so”?
