Blaze in Glasgow flat block sparks swift evacuation
Residents from a block of flats in Glasgow had to be evacuated after a blaze broke out yesterday morning.
The alarm was raised at 2:03am over the incident at a building on Craigmillar Road.
A property on the first floor had gone up in flames, forcing firefighters to escort ten people from neighbouring flats out of the building.
The people were treated for minor smoke inhalation by paramedics, but did not require hospital treatment.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
