#OBAMA

In his first interview since returning to life as a private citizen, Barack Obama told Prince Harry how he felt about relinquishing the presidency, his life after the White House and why people should be optimistic about the future. @Janeeappleton said: “Impressive that @Barackobama speaks so eloquently about the inauguration without mentioning his successor once in this clip.” @roya19 added: “I’m listening to this right now and I’m completely riveted. How I’ve missed that voice! The gulf between Mr Obama and the current president as leaders, as human beings, is staggering. Could Obama be brought on as a presidential coach?” @mgsrosso said: “Interesting interview, listening to a president who is humble, caring and considered and who clearly still wants to help make the world a better place.”

#MURRAY

Scott Sears believes he has become the youngest person to reach the South Pole solo. While the record has yet to be confirmed, his 702-mile trek is still impressive. People lightheartedly suggested that Andy Murray’s brother-inlaw can do nothing to get out of the tennis star’s shadow. @kevrobbo27 said: “Looking forward to the ‘Scott Sears’ brother-in-law wins Wimbledon’ headline next summer.” @Steven_vdv added: “That usually means that, if you weren’t his brother in law, you wouldn’t get any attention over this.” @chrissalmon jokingly said: “‘I’m so sick of everyone thinking of me as just the brother of Andy Murray’s wife. I’m Scott Sears. I’m an actual person. So I’m going to become the youngest person to reach the South Pole solo. Then SURELY they’ll recognise me as an individual in my own right’.”

#BACKTOWORK

Returning to work after the Christmas break is tough, especially when you know that some people are still off until after New Year. @MRT_AJ said: “Time to put down the Celebrations and Bucks Fizz, sober up, leave the house and pray the systems are down.” @Julesbailey14 added: “Spare a thought for us young millennials with no children who have volunteered to work today so you can still have family time.”
