St Johnstone Goalless but entertaining

It was perhaps to be expected after last week’s wins over the Old Firm that the game would end up a goalless draw.

Tommy surprised quite a few supporters by starting the same eleven as at Ibrox. Did he surprise the Hearts boss? The driving wind and rain made life difficult for players and they deserve great credit for providing an entertaining spectacle. Saints probably played their best football of the season at home. Tommy was proved right Saints can play good football. Most football supporters want first and foremost to be entertained and will accept defeat more easily if they have seen their team play well. No scoring draws are rarely entertaining, this was one of the exceptions.
