Supply teachers

The bill for supply teachers has topped £81 million (The Scotsman, 28 December ). How big a bill is too big before John Swinney does something to eliminate it?

If taxpaying and ratepaying parents are not yet worried, can I urge pupils to put pen to paper to express their concern to the Education Secretary. His address is on the website.
