Jailed car thief invents gadget to cut stealing

A professional car thief who steals luxury vehicles is hoping to change his own fortunes after inventing a device that makes it impossible to steal cars.

Duncan Currie, from Glasgow’s Balornock area, is behind bars for stealing a Jaguar Xf Prestige worth £30,000 and a £50,000 Mercedes-benz Glc 220.

But the 33-year-old is hoping to put his crimes to good use in 2018, having come up with an idea for an anti car theft device while in prison. Mr Currie is in the process of copyrighting his idea and has managed to secure a cash injection.
