Body recovered from Glasgow river

-

A man’s body has been recovered from a city river.

Emergency services went to the scene near Queen Margaret Bridge in Glasgow after reports that a body had been spotted soon after 1pm on Tuesday.

Police divers were involved in recovering the dead man from the River Kelvin. The man has yet to be identified but his death is not thought to be suspicious.

Last August, Aberdeen footballer Gary Mackay-steven was pulled from the same river after a night out.
