Heart of Midlothian Record-breakers
It shouldn’t be a shock that a Craig Levein team would start by being well organised defensively but two goal-less draws in a week have seen Hearts set an all-time record of six clean sheets in a row. Whilst Berra rightly gets huge credit for this Jon Mclaughlin has been a key signing, again making a brilliant save on Saturday.
Our bigger problem is scoring. Isma and Lafferty have produced a reasonable number of goals but far too few others are contributing. The winter break comes at a very good time for us and the window will open and offer an chance to sign a left back, a winger and a striker. We may also lose players, Walker the likeliest, and, worryingly, Souttar has attracted interest, but hopefully we can strengthen overall.
