Ross County Confidence crisis

Saturday’s loss at Partick Thistle was the worst performance yet in a terrible December for Owen Coyle and Ross County. It was fair to say that the two teams cancelled each other out for most of the first half at Firhill, but a careless mistake by Andrew Davies allowed Kris Doolan in shortly before half-time and there was only going to be one winner from there.

County have problems all over the pitch just now, but a lack of confidence seems to be the largest issue. Perhaps an influx of new players might come in during January to give a boost in morale as well as quality. However, with the other sides in the bottom six improving – with the exception of Motherwell – Coyle has little margin for error in his transfer strategy.
