Former Killie favourite Slater heads for Tannadice on loan
Dundee United have signed former Kilmarnock midfielder Craig Slater on loan. The former Scotland Under-21 international joins from Colchester United on a deal until the end of the season.
Slater was a regular in his first season in Essex until undergoing double hernia surgery last February and has struggled for game time with the Sky Bet League Two promotion chasers this term after returning from a hip injury.
The 23-year-old scored nine goals in 85 appearances for Killie and has netted three times in 42 games in England.
He comes in to bolster United’s Ladbrokes Championship promotion efforts after the Tayside club lost midfielders Scott Fraser and Fraser Fyvie to long-term injuries.
